Typography Games

I chose ITC Century as my font for the type connection. She's really creative and bold, while also being organized, effective and clear to read. She has always had a huge crush on Univers, because he seems to be everything she is not. He comes off sophisticated, trendy and he gives off that very corporate feel, while she is fun and whimsical. They had spent time together a few times over the summer, and she felt like even though they were completely opposite, that they could workout really nicely together. She was nervous because he was not her typical type, he was kind of skinny and tall, unlike anyone she has ever dated before. It took her a really long time to workup the courage to ask Univers if he wanted to go on a date with her. After months of thinking about it, she finally did. It was probably the most mundane thing she's ever done, and was slightly disappointed but also kind of surprised she did not anticiapte that in the first place like she should have. He was boring and repetitive. It made her realize she needs someone bold and artisitc, someone who can help her be more creative.

It may not have been such a bad thing that they did not work out, because that mishap led her to her current love interest, Adobe Garamond Pro, who is the most perfect fit for her. He is sophisticated yet createive and bold, he is classic and well organized. They work really well together. Their similarities make it easy for them to be paired together in certain circumstances, it makes their relationship really special.

My favorite font from the font war was Didot, I like how it was thin and chic, while also being timeless and classic. Its sharp and modern, and is perfect for the fashion/retail/social media aspect, which is my area of expertise. It makes the design and composition much easier when you can identify which theme or vibe of text you want to correlate back to the brand.
